Ispahan Solutions offers fast and reliable backup solutions for Microsoft Windows servers, virtual machines and desktop computers.
3 questions we like to ask potential customers are:
- If one of your critical servers goes down at 16:50 local time, how much data and time will you lose?
Using traditional tape based backup systems that back up data once a day, you have lost 8-9 hours worth of production data. If there are 20 users on that server, that means that you will lose at least 160 hours worth of work.
Our backup solutions allow you to back up critical servers every 15 minutes throughout the production day, with little or no impact on the server. So if your server went down at 16:50, you would have lost 5 minutes of production data, or 1 hour worth of work (5 minutes X 20 users).
- If your server crashes, how long would it take you to recover?
Install Windows Server and all Service Packs: 4 hours (minimum)
Set up your backup client: 20 minutes
Recover your data: 40 minutes to 3 hours
Total: 5 hours to 7 hours before that system is up and running in production again
With our solution:Right-mouse click the backup image, choose Open With and VMWare Workstation: System is up and running in 2-5 minutes
Or - Do a hardware independent restore to completely different hardware: 10 to 15 minutes
- With your existing backup, how long does it take you to recover a user’s file that has been accidentally deleted?
Probably 20 minutes to 2 hours (as you retrieve the tape, load it, the tape spools to the correct location before writing back to disk)
With our solution, you can use the Explore Backup option, and recover a deleted file within 10 seconds. We can even give you a script that automatically mounts the most recent backup image as a shared NTFS drive on your network – so users may recover their own files (and this keeps NTFS permissions, so users may only see their own data).
